immigration

it is well known that Britain is currently a hot-spot for immigrants, but is this a good or bad thing? there are many different views.

FOR

immigration may be good for Britain's economy.

the immigrants are escaping conflict and poverty in their own country and deserve to live in peace.

they can get jobs in this country that that aren't taken by British people.

AGAINST

immigration is not controlled and there are masses of illegal immigrants flooding the country.

the immigrants steal jobs from British people.

many of them don't know how to speak English.

they cost the taxpayers money by claiming benefits.

new houses are being built on Britain's greenbelts, spoiling the countryside.

their children take up valuable school places.

Some good arguments on both sides, Eleanor. Good work!
